How to Calculate Tiles, Cement & Gypsum Needed per m²
How to calculate tiles needed: pieces per m² = 1 ÷ (length × width in metres). Results: 30x30 = 11.11 pcs/m², 40x40 = 6.25, 50x50 = 4, 60x60 = 2.78, 30x60 = 5.56, 80x80 = 1.56 and 60x120 = 1.39. Boxes = (floor area × 1.05–1.10) ÷ area per box, rounded up—e.g. 80x80 granite with 3 pieces = 1.92 m² per box. 15 mm plaster (1:4) needs ~7–8 kg cement/m²; one 40 kg bag ≈ 5 m² plaster or ≈ 12 m² skim. A 120x240 cm gypsum board = 2.88 m² per sheet.
