2026 年第三季度投资实现额 528.7 万亿盾:对建材的意义

Investment realisation in Q3 2026 reached Rp528.7 trillion, up 7.6% year-on-year (y-on-y), according to the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani on 19 October 2026 (quoted by CNBC Indonesia and Tirto). On downstreaming investment 2026 outside Java: Rp373.1 trillion or about 78% of total downstreaming investment. For building-material buyers these figures are a macro signal that does not automatically mean prices rise or fall; that link is only homeX analysis, not data.

Figures come from CNBC Indonesia (20 October 2026) and Tirto (19 October 2026), quoting the BKPM briefing of 19 October 2026, as of 23 October 2026; we did not read the BKPM statistical publication itself because data.bkpm.go.id could not be opened (504). homeX calculation: H1 2026 realisation of about Rp1,010.5 T (Rp1,539.2 T minus Rp528.7 T); implied 2026 target of about Rp2,041 T (Rp1,539.2 T divided by 75.4%); both are derived from source figures, not official numbers. Data gaps: no breakdown for construction, property or industrial estates by province; no per-project values; the sources list only three provinces for Q3 and five for January-September; no building-material sales volume data, so the investment-building-material link cannot be proven.

Java vs outside Java and the role of West Java

In Q3 2026 investment outside Java of Rp271.6 T (51.4%) was still larger than Java at Rp257.1 T (48.6%), but Java's annual growth of 13.9% was far above the 2.2% outside Java. West Java was the largest province that quarter with Rp91 T (+17.2%), followed by Jakarta at Rp75.5 T and Central Sulawesi at Rp47.3 T. For January-September, DKI Jakarta at Rp249.3 T (16.2%) and West Java at Rp229.1 T (14.9%) are the top two. The sources do not say which projects drove the West Java figure.

Sectors: basic metals, data centres and transport

The largest sectors in Q3 were basic metals, metal goods, non-machinery and equipment at Rp118.8 T, then other services including data centres at Rp81.8 T and transport, warehousing and telecom at Rp51.7 T. For January-September, basic metals contributed Rp246.6 T of FDI and Rp269.2 T combined (17.5% of the total). These sector figures do not show construction or building materials as a separate line.

What it means for building materials (homeX analysis, not data)

homeX analysis, not data: industrial and data-centre investment is usually followed by factory, warehouse and supporting infrastructure construction, which can support demand for steel, cement, cable and pipe; but the sources do not include construction realisation, sales volumes or building-material prices, so we do not conclude a price direction. Buyers should still compare store prices on the same date and use official price indices for trends.

Buyer tips

  • Record dated prices of materials from the same store each month to see your own trend.
  • Distinguish investment realisation (capital flows) from building-material prices; they are not equivalent.
  • Check the official BKPM briefing or next release before quoting figures for a major decision.
  • Ask for a written quotation with a validity period for large purchases.
