SNI Certification for Imported Building Materials 2026: SPPT SNI & NPB
A guide for Chinese exporters and Indonesian importers: how SNI certification of imported building materials works as of 22 October 2026. According to the Trade Ministry's PKTN directorate, goods under mandatory SNI need an SNI Mark Product Certificate (SPPT SNI) from a registered conformity assessment body, then registration to obtain a Goods Registration Number (NPB). Under Permendag 33/2025, 132 mandatory-SNI products must be registered for NPB. The manufacturer or importer must hold a risk-based NIB; new NPBs are filed on oss.go.id and issued within 3 working days.

Who applies?
NPB is filed by a domestic manufacturer or an importer holding an NIB. Chinese factories usually work with an Indonesian importer or representative for SPPT SNI and NPB.
