Cement Supply Chain Digitalisation in Indonesia: SIG AI and AksesToko

印尼水泥供应链数字化:SIG 用 AI 调度配送,AksesToko 连接 6.3 万家门店

Cement supply chain digitalisation in Indonesia is most visible at PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), which according to ANTARA (9 September 2026) uses digital tools and artificial intelligence (AI) to manage distribution from 10 integrated plants, 26 packing plants, 6 grinding plants and 7 ports to more than 300 distributors and 63,000 retail stores. SIG reported that AI helped raise order fulfilment by 1.16%, about 118,000 tonnes of cement, and cut data consolidation from days to 2 hours. For building-material shops, stock and order data increasingly decide how fast supply arrives.

Cement supply chain digitalisation at SIG: what is already running

In a press release dated 16 July 2025, SIG explained that digital tools are used from inventory monitoring at distribution facilities to supply-chain cost reports presented in real time. AI recommends delivery priorities based on stock levels in customer warehouses and makes forecasts from customer transaction history. Reported results for November 2024 to February 2025: lower stock-out risk at distribution facilities, order fulfilment up 1.16% (equal to 118,000 tonnes) and data consolidation down to 2 hours. Note that these figures come from a 2025 release, not the latest data.

  • First-half 2026 results (ANTARA): sales volume 18.28 million tonnes (up 5.6%), domestic 14.18 million tonnes (up 9.7%), revenue Rp17.65 trillion (up 13.1%), net profit Rp207 billion.
  • Brands: nine cement brands, including Semen Gresik, Semen Padang, Semen Tonasa, Dynamix and Semen Kujang.
  • Distribution: more than 300 distributors in Indonesia and Vietnam, and more than 63,000 retail stores in Indonesia.

AksesToko: ordering cement from a phone

On the shop side, SIG runs AksesToko, a digital service that, according to its official site, connects PT Semen Indonesia with building-material shop owners to simplify ordering, payment and delivery to shops or project sites, with a loyalty points programme. The site shows 137 distributors, 179,611 transactions per year and 18,349 AksesToko partners, and says transactions take less than 15 minutes. These are site claims we read on 24 October 2026 and did not verify independently.

What it means for shops and contractors

If delivery priority is calculated from stock in customer warehouses, shops that record stock and orders carefully will find it easier to be served on time. Contractors also benefit when suppliers can show real stock and delivery status rather than verbal promises. Competition is tight as well: September 2026 sales data show market shares between producers shifting (see our cement consumption article), so speed and reliability of distribution become a differentiator.

Simple steps to start

  • Record daily cement stock by brand and bag size, at least in a spreadsheet.
  • Set a minimum stock level that triggers a reorder.
  • Ask suppliers for written confirmation of delivery schedules and shipment status.
  • Combine cement orders with other materials to make delivery cost per tonne more efficient.
